Cargo Insurance

Marine Insurance is primarily a specialized form of coverage for vessels and their cargoes.  Vessels include all types of watercraft.  Generally, cargoes transported over water, or internationally, are considered ocean (wet) marine, while cargoes transported over land are considered inland (dry) marine. 

An Open Cargo Policy can be arranged for the frequent shipper.  It is a continuous contract designed to insure automatically all cargo moving at the insured's risk.  The contract remains in force until cancelled by either the insured or the insurance company.  Under an open policy goods can be insured “All-Risk, Free of Particular Average (FPA) or With Average (WA).
