No-Fault System
Workers' Compensation is a no-fault system. The employee doesn't need to prove employer's liability to receive benefits for an on-the-job injury.
Benefits

Medical Care - all reasonable medical cares incl. doctors bills, medicine, lab, x-rays, hospital

Temporary Disability Benefits - designed to replace two-thirds of the lost wages, up to a maximum of $602 per week. First three days are not paid unless employee is hospitalized as an inpatient or unable to work for more than 14 days.

Permanent Disability Benefits - permanent total disability receives the temporary disability benefit -- up to $490 per week -- for life; permanent partial disability receives weekly benefits for a period which increases with the percentage of disability.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services - the goal of a rehabilitation plan is to return the injured worker to "suitable gainful employment".

Death Benefits - payments to survivors are set by state law based on the number of dependents.
