Dwelling Insurance covers buildings and the personal property inside. The Insurance Services Office has a basic form, a broad form, and a special form. The principal differences among them are the perils covered. The forms are designed to insure one- to four-family dwellings, whether owner-occupied or tenant-occupied, and can be used to insure mobile homes. Unlike homeowners policies, dwelling policies do not include theft, liability or medical payments coverage, but these coverages can be added by endorsement. The ISO policy forms have a standard format:
Coverage A—Dwelling
Coverage B—Other Structures
Coverage C—Personal Property
Coverage D—Fair Rental Value
Coverage E—Additional Living Expense (except basic form)
