Update on California Paid Sick Leave

on California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act (A.B. 1522), which provides California workers with paid sick leave. The law applies to employers that have at least one employee who works more than 30 days in a year in the state of California. OSHA’s New Reporting Requirements for Worker Injuries

on The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a final rule requiring employers to notify OSHA when an employee is killed on the job or suffers a work-related hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye.
